Gerry was diagnosed with a neurological disorder in 2006 but this has not prevented her love of equestrian competition.
Back in the saddle since 2008, she is now with Para Equestrian Ireland and hopes to help the team towards 2012 selection next year. At the 2011 European Para Equestrian Championships in Belgium, Gerry picked up two top-ten placings.
