Orla broke onto the international scene aged just sixteen in 2006, finishing a creditable fifth in the final of the F57 discus at Beijing 2008.
In 2011, Orla was just outside the medals at the IPC World Championships in New Zealand. She went on however to set a new discus European record and will be hoping that this form will deliver a medal at London 2012.
