Shane began rowing in 2007 and has enjoyed success as an individual, winning gold in 2010′s LTA Open World Indoor Rowing Championship.
Shane is the youngest member of the LTA mixed four crew and his appearance at London 2012 should be the first of many Paralympic honours.
