- He is the reigning world champion in the 800m and 1500m (T37).
- He was won three gold medals at Paralympic Games.
A triple Paralympic gold medalist, winning 800m and 1,500m at London 2012 (building on his 800m win at Beijing 2008), Michael is a force to be reckoned with on the Paralympic track.
He also holds world records for both distances and went on to successfully defend his World titles at the World Championships in Doha in 2015, to add yet more medals to his collection.
He is looking forward to defending his Paralympic gold medals at Rio this coming September.
